Dewey Decimal Posters

 

These posters were created by 3rd and 4th graders to advertise various Dewey Decimal sections of the library. They chose a book that interested them. They read for interesting facts and bits of information. Then they followed the Poster Wizard at 4Teachers.org to create their poster. Other posters are on display in the library.

This lesson was done in cooperation with Michelle Weeks, Title 1 Instructional Technology Specialist. It took 2 library instruction lessons. The first day students chose their books, read for information and filled out a fact sheet. The second day they worked at the computers to transfer the information and select photos to match the Dewey Decimal topic they were advertising.
